How to unblock your Paytm account?

In the unlikely event that your Paytm account is blocked, we enable users to quickly register a request and seek redressal in a few, simple steps. There are multiple ways to make a request to unblock an account.

Option 1: Unblocking an account through the Paytm app

Step 1: Open the Paytm app.

Step 2: Click on the 24×7 Help section and choose the “Unable to login to your account” option.

Step 3: Click on the “Paytm Account Blocked” button

Step 4: To proceed with the unblocking request of your Paytm account, kindly write to us. Users would need to share the below mentioned details :

A. Mobile number of the Paytm account which you want to unblock

B. If your account is KYCed, please share linked KYC documents and a Selfie in which your face is captured properly along with the KYC document OR,

* Screenshot of debit/credit card statement reflecting money added to your Paytm account OR,

* Confirmation email or SMS screenshot of money transferred from your Paytm account registered with mobile number which you want to unblock OR,

* Proof of phone number ownership (i.e. Mobile bill in case of postpaid) OR,

* Any government ID proof where your mobile number is mentioned along with your name OR,

* SIM activation proof (in which this mobile number is mentioned) to prove that this account belongs to you. Please reach out to your telecom operator’s customer care to get your SIM Activation date. Also, ensure that your SIM activation date proof should contain your mobile number, name and SIM activation date. Kindly share complete email screenshot with us which you have received from operator’s end which reflects sender’s and receiver details OR,

* Bank deliverable documents like bank passbook/ cheque book or bank letter head printed documents where your mobile number is mentioned along with your name.

Please note that Paytm app screenshots are not accepted as a verification proof and kindly ensure that KYC document ID is masked and only the last 4 digits of your document id are visible.

Option 2: Unblocking an account through the website

Step 1: Visit Paytm.com/Care

Step 2: Click on My Account

Step 3: Select “Password reset related issue or account blocked”

Step 4: Click on “My account is blocked”

Step 5: Write to Paytm, clearly mentioning your full concern, Name, email address and the mobile number registered with the blocked account. Any of the above mentioned

Step 6: Send your request to Paytm Care to unblock your Account.

Currently, the helpline is available in English and Hindi. In case you need any further assistance, you can register your issue with us. We will try to solve your concern at the earliest. While registering the issue, you will also be prompted to enter relevant details, such as your order ID. Once we get the request, our team will try and solve your issue on priority & contact you for any help required from our end.
