Unified Payments Interface (UPI) has become a popular payment mode across the country. It allows one to instantly transfer or receive funds between two bank accounts using a smartphone. Our users can register for Paytm UPI within a few minutes using their Paytm app and transact digitally in a secure manner.

The feature enables them to make seamless online payments directly from their bank account using Paytm UPI address. In turn, they do not need to enter their debit or credit card details, log in using net banking, add a beneficiary or put in the IFSC code to send or receive money. Besides this, the facility enables one to instantly check the balance of the linked account for free and make payments by scanning any UPI QR code.

The UPI ID is issued by the Paytm Payments Bank. The entire process of setting up a UPI account on Paytm app is quite simple and gets completed in three simple steps. Here’s the step-by-step guide:

Step 1: Log in to your Paytm app and tap on UPI Money Transfer icon present on the blue stripe on the homepage

Step 2: Select your preferred bank. If you have a dual SIM phone, select the SIM corresponding to your Paytm registered mobile number. An SMS will be sent from your mobile using the selected SIM for verifying your mobile number with your Bank and getting your account details.

Step 3: Once verified, you can set your M-Pin and you are all set to start transacting at any point of the day

That’s it. The Paytm UPI ID is the user’s mobile-number@paytm by default. For example, if your registered mobile number is 9123456789, the Paytm UPI ID will be 9123456789@paytm. You can now conveniently send/receive money directly in your bank account using your mobile number or UPI ID.
